Another brilliant way to make money on the internet is to learn how the search engines work and build small websites that show up in the search results. This skill is known as Search Engine Opitmization or SEO for short.

SEO although complex is not as difficult as you might think. The basic of it are broken down into two major parts, being ON PAGE and OFF PAGE optimization.

On page means making the required adjustments to factors on your actually website that the search engine spiders read. If the spiders find what they are looking for on the website they tick the boxes and move onto analuze the off page factors.

On page factors consist of making sure you link internally between pages on your site using keyword rich anchor text, and also place the keyword that you want the particular page to show up in the search engines in the right places the right amount of times.

Off page mainly is to do with links. Links are the blue clickable text that you see on a website, and the search engines see links as voting power. The more links that are coming into your site the more votes and the higher the search engine results that page will get.

The art of getting these links is a detailed process but one that can be managed with little experience if you know a few things to start with. You can get links coming into your site from other people that you know (less frequent), by using web 2.0 sites such as squidoo and hubpages, joining blog networks like articlemarketingautomation.com, submitting article to article directories, getting your site listed in directories, social bookmarking etc....

SEO takes longer to see results than using PPC but the great thing is that once you start getting traffic it is FREE!
