PayPerClick
Payperclick advertising was and still is by
some, as the most revolutionary marketing tool of the modern
era. This medium for reaching customers is highly effective if
you know what you are doing, and a complete disaster if you
don't.
A lot of
people throw themselves into the deep end with PPC and end up
making no money and losing a heap very quickly. From my
experience the biggest mistake that people make is neglected to
remain RELEVANT.
If you
learn nothing else from this website please take this away: If
you remain relevant along every link of the chain in your PPC
marketing campaigns then you will do well.
What
exactly to I mean by this? Well when you put an ad up on one of
the major search engines such as Google or Yahoo, you need ot
first tell the search engines what words you want to trigure
your ad to be shown, then you need to have the ad written, and
finally you need to send the customer to a webpage after they
click.
Therefore
if the keyword (the word that the visitor types in to the
search engine) doesn't really match you ads copy you
immediately have a relevancy issue. For example if you are
sellling a product as say an affiliate marketer which helps
people learn to play the guitar, then you may use the keyword
"learn guitar". Now where people make the biggest mistakes is
when they have a large keyword lists with words like "Flamence
Guitar" "Spanish Guitar" also in there. However if you product
isn't for flamenco guitar, but more for basic rythym guitar
then your ad immediately loses its relevancy.
Things
can get worse if the visitor decides to try you out and clicks
you ad only to be taken to the site that doesn't teach falmenco
guitar, and ofcourse is not what they are looking
for.
To
provide a solution make sure that you keep your adgroups very
targeted by having only a few keywords trigure each ad and the
page you send the visitor is relevant to the word they typed
in.
Until
next time,
